Neuro- and Behavioral Economics and Climate Change Policy
The Garrison Institute in New York, in partnership with GLA, will hold a symposium entitled, "Neuro- and Behavioral Economics and Climate Change Policy," March 10th - 12th, 2010. This event is part of the Institute's Climate Change Leadership Series and has been organized by the Neuro- and Behavioral Economics steering committee, led by GLA co-chair Sander Tideman.
This event will be a meeting of leading minds from the field of climate change policy, economics, and psychology. Participants will explore the emerging understanding of human behavior and human nature generated by neuro- and behavioral economics as it applies to climate change policy and related ecological issues. This exploration will take place through presentations, dialogs, and brainstorming. The symposium will aim to develop a new common perspective on how to tackle climate change, considered by many to be the biggest challenge facing humanity in the decades to come. By invitation only.
