Grounding Principles
How We Deliver
Through a broad range of innovative peer group learning experiences and events the GLA builds self organising communities of learning across organisations, sectors and nations.
The GLA is supported by world class researchers, academics, scientists, religious leaders and others at the top of ‘their’ tree who are co-learners with us across all our 4 learning domains: personal, interpersonal, organisational and global.
The Global Leaders Academy is based on three core interconnected learning processes: peer group learning, coaching and mentoring and personal practice.
Peer group learning
Members are invited to join a confidential peer group of non competing, like-minded and respected leaders in business and civil society, across disciplines and sectors. Members commit to learning via a rolling programme of 10-12 peer group meetings in their host country, spread throughout the year. Meetings are held at various locations convenient to the members, with opportunities for cultural exchanges and sharing of collective wisdom across groups.
These learning circles facilitate a level of conversation that allows groups of people to accomplish their own and collective goals; to leverage their influential power and truly make a difference to the people they serve and the systems they touch. The regular monthly meetings may include a visiting guest expert on one of our core themes; members also unite to work on individual case studies of challenges or opportunities in their lives.
Coaching and Mentoring
Members will not only benefit from the coaching / mentoring of respected peers and professional coaches but will also learn the techniques of facilitation and different coaching models for themselves. This will enrich their interactions with others and thereby support their family and employees also to become the best they can be.
Personal Practice
Members are introduced to the benefits of contemplative and mindful practices as well as the physiological benefits of healthy eating and exercise routines.
